About Me

Jim Croker - Professional Approved Driving Instructor

Hello! I am Jim Croker, and it is my pleasure to accompany you while you become an experienced, competent and safe driver. Now let me tell you some more detailed aspects of myself and how I became a driving instructor:

Educational Background

I was born in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, where I completed all of my education. Later on, I went to Nottinghamshire for further studies. Finally, I graduated with a BA Hons from Sheffield University.

My Career

I have had a varied and rewarding career. At first, I was a teacher of the saxophone, piano, and clarinet, which took me to different parts of the country and let me pass on my enthusiasm for music. In 2003, I came back to Rotherham and became a prison officer, which was hard but rewarding for 13 years. After being motivated by making some positive differences, I worked as a care provider for autistic children and special needs individuals.

Move to Driving Instruction

After being a postman for some time, my life took a big turn when I had a hip replacement. I thought of channeling my teaching skills, and the patience of helping others by becoming a Professional Approved Driving Instructor.
Equipped with years of teaching and driving experience and an ironclad commitment to safety and excellence, I offer specialised high-quality driving instructions to everyone, from the new driver, just starting out, or to the driver seeking to brush up their skill, I am here for you from start to finish and whether it takes you one month or ten years, your prices won't change.
